look at how the phrase "spills in the void" has like three different forms in this photo, it is crazy

I just finished a thing I've been working on for a month. it didn't feel like I was working on it for more than a week. I am just amazed at the way the creative process works; there are these sentences in it that I can remember being just very disconnected notes in a notebook before the thing got written, but they were the DNA of the story and they still remain in the text. I always think about stephen king's analogy of the fossil - there's a structure there, if you've done it right, and all you need to do is unearth the thing. I am attached to this idea of artmaking. it is totally like being an archaeologist of your own head.

Didn't stephen king get his stories from dreams? Subconscious excavation must be a nice way to make art too.
